Tenement, Terraced and Detached Testaments Tuesday

Crowded, Detached And Touching

In crowded tenements
Where high raised people
Live on top of each other
Care and intrude on top of each other
Are kind and are crude on top of each other
Love and hate on top of each other
Ignore and relate on top of each other
They live, breathe and die crowded.

In detached housings
Where low raised people
Live apart from each other
Care and intrude apart from each other
Are kind and are crude apart from each other
Love and hate apart from each other
Ignore and relate apart from each other;
They live, breathe and die detached.

In touching semis
Where mid raised people
Live sometimes seeing each other
Care and intrude sometimes seeing each other
Are kind and are crude sometimes seeing each other
Love and hate sometimes seeing each other
Ignore and relate sometimes seeing each other;
They live, breathe and die semi touching.

Changing Sentences

Caught by the jigsawed skies
Carved by liquorice iron branches,
The mist dusted hills
And alabaster waters
Those lateral artistic vistas.

You liked how I noticed
Not just bricks but mortar –
Like the fragmentary slithers of settings
And abstracted furniture forms
Created by your presence.

You’d comment on my changing sentences about;
Shared that intrigue
About sentences changing.

Yet now I have full view
I am still conscious of a surrounding space
By you long since vacated.
